I actually just wanted to help some friends how to get rid of fps lags. But then I thought: why not write a guide?
These tricks I recommend everyone who has a weak pc. On netbooks and low specs notebooks it can have a pretty huge positive impact on it’s performance.
I’m too lazy to explain everything step by step. So I just recorded short clips which I converted to gifs.
If a GIF doesn’t (re)play, just click on it
Perfomance > looks: - disabling visual effects of windows
A simple and fast way to tune your pc.
(I only tick the one which improves the font; but everything else is pretty useless imo)
**Anti-spy tool (only win10):**
This is a pretty useful program which is made to get rid off many spy “features” windows 10 has. Disabling them not only protects your privacy but also improves the performance of your pc.
(be careful with what you disable or just go with the recommended settings; and don’t forget to restart your pc so the changes show effect)
(There are similar programs for windows 7 and 8)

Razer Cortex - Game Booster:
Only though this program am I able to play cf3 with a decent stable framerate.

Ofc you can just go with the recommened settings but if you experiment with the settings u can significantly improve the performance of your pc in gaming situations.

Decreasing CF3 Visual Effects
I know that's a pretty obvious "trick" but I already came across couple people who didn't know about it.
Even on my ultrabook I get little freezes when I don't turn off the particles :s
**Windows Energy options:**
If you are using a Laptop, get sure you are running on **High perfomance** and not energy saving
I will try to add more tricks whenever another one comes into my mind.
