I’m not sure if this is the right place to put this - its a suggestion for CF4 leagues. If its not I can copy and paste it somewhere else or you can just ignore it.
I don’t know what the current plans for leagues etc is, but if you do something similar to CF3 with the Grandmaster league I think it would be cool to see what position the player was in addition to the fact that they are GM, like the difference between #1 and #100 is often over 200 points so seeing that one person is a high level gm or a lowlevel gm would be cool. Also at the moment on CF3, only people who win tournaments get the cool champ badge. I think it would also be cool if maybe the top 10 ranked players got a badge too: it doesnt have to be the same badge, but something like “Top Ranked”.
Also, I think it would be cool if when you went online there was a list of GMs who were active and who’s games you can go and watch. It would make normal FFA more competitive if loads of people would go and watch because they knew a pro was playing. It might also allow new players to learn new tactics to help them improve.
Obviously I don’t know if the league system is going to stay or not - I personally love seeing my rank rise through leagues (and I hate seeing it fall so if it does I almost always play to make it go higher again) - but if it does, these are just some suggestions to make everyday arena more competitive and inclusive. At the moment it isn’t nearly as fun as tournaments where loads of people spectate to see the top players playing.
