Today we’re introducing an addition to our user guidelines: sharing accounts is prohibited. Please read this new addition to the guidelines:
Do not share accounts
Do not share your accounts with other users. You are responsible for your own accounts. If someone else breaks the rules using your account, you will be held accountable. As an extension of this, we do not support accounts that you may have received from other users, in the broadest sense of the term. This includes, but is not limited to: accounts that you purchased or were gifted to you. If you acquired an account from someone else, in any which way, we can not help you in the event of loss or theft. If we conclude that an account is being used by numerous people, you risk permanent account removal. In extreme cases, this could lead to a permanent IP ban.
About this change
We want this community and our games to be places that players go to relax, have fun, and connect with other people who enjoy Curve Fever. Some players, however, do not feel safe. Targeted and random harassment happens every day and can be extremely hard for anyone on the receiving end to process, or to look the other way. That is one of the many reasons we decided to implement this rule.
The deeper we dig, the more we learn that users that are sharing accounts amongst each other can often be bad actors in these harassment cases. Although we understand that this new measure does not fix all issues, we hope it will be a reminder to those in our community that get harassed, that we hear you and we want to hear from you, and we’re looking for new ways to make this community and our games as safe as we can, every day.
Have you witnessed harassment of any kind while playing our games? Or are you the target of harassment? Please take a moment to reach out to us at email@example.com, and if you can, include screenshots and other evidence we can take into account when reviewing your report.
Thank you for your time and let’s work together to make Curve Fever a safe and fun place for everyone!
